|2012 — 2018||Ateliér restaurování výtvarných děl sochařských, Škola Petra Siegla|
Over the course of my studies, I had the chance to familiarise myself with the rich history of selected artistic objects and with the complexity of restoring various different materials. I have come to realise the value of the artefacts provided on loan, and when working with them I have tried to do so with the utmost sense of precision. My graduation task was to restore a statue of Charles IV from the Old Town Bridge Tower and to restore Jan Kavan’s ceramic fountain in Příbram from the 1960s. I also restored several Chinese figural funerary sculptures and a horse-shaped censer from the National Gallery’s Collection of Asian and African Art. My thesis was on the subject of documenting the restoration process using audiovisual records. In it, I explored the implementation of modern technologies in order to bring a new viewpoint on the possible ways of documenting art restoration.
