In the course of my studies, I have had an opportunity to gain knowledge of traditional historical painting techniques, among other things by creating copies of paintings at the National Gallery in Prague. I also carried out restoration of paintings on canvas and on wooden support, polychrome sculptures, and murals. I spent the winter semester of 2016 as an exchange student at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, where I broadened my knowledge of dust and dirt deposits removal from painted surfaces. During my final year, I followed up with this topic in my diploma thesis, focusing on the application of a new group of PVAc gels for removing of secondary painting layers. I employed this system in practice when restoring the double-sided modern painting Na břehu (On the Shore) by František Janoušek (1925). The main task here was to remove the overpainting on the reverse side of the painting. I also restored a medieval panel painting of The Adoration of the Magi from the National Gallery, a polychrome sculpture of the Pietà from Skalsko and I participated in the examination of murals in the Church of the Virgin Mary at Karlštejn Castle. In 2015 and 2016, I worked on restoration of wall paintings of The Judgment of Solomon at the Franciscan church in Kadaň.
